Nina Love, CDP, PHR (They/Them)
Director, HR Business Partners
Nina Love serves DC Water as Director, HR Business Partners and Inclusion, working within the People and Talent cluster of the Authority. In this capacity, they lead, plan, and integrate inclusion programs and initiatives with the Authority’s overall Human Resource business strategy to cultivate and represent DC Water as an inclusive and representative employer. Love initially joined DC Water in November 2017 and has steadily risen through the ranks with a reputation for strategic thought, leadership and expertise on issues of diversity and inclusion.
Prior to joining DC Water, Love worked for the University of Maryland Medical System, creating better systems and business outcomes through a thorough, strategic analysis of organizational issues relating to performance management. They have also served as adjunct faculty for a variety of human resource and organizational development topics.
As a certified Prosci Change Practitioner, and a certified Professional in Diversity and Inclusion, Love believes that people are the foundation of any sustained organizational success, and strives to ensure that this foundation is optimized by reflecting diverse constituencies, offering equity and inclusion for all. They also volunteer and serve as President of the Board of Directors, of the BHT Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to building, helping and transforming LGBTQ+ communities.
Love holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Towson University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Kutztown University. They have also completed the Professional Human Resource Certification (PHR).
