Welcome to DC Water! We're here to make setting up a new account or closing out a current account as easy as possible. Whether you're a property owner, tenant, or management company, we've got you covered!
In accordance with the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations, property owners are ultimately responsible for payment of all water and sewer bills, including any bills left unpaid by a tenant.
- Property Owners:
- Easy Setup or Closure: Setting up or closing an account is a breeze!
- Ownership Change Request: Your title company will manage the Ownership Change Request process for you using our 3rd Party Portal. DC Water requires settlement documents submitted within 5 days of the closing date.
- New to DC Water: Create a profile by registering your account at MYDCWater.com. Enroll in paperless billing and autopay for added convenience.
Billing: Expect your first or final bill within 30 days.
- Management Companies:
- Online Profile: We strongly encourage all property managers, especially those new to the property, to create an online profile at MYDCWater.com.
- Management Agreement: Easily submit your management agreement by emailing customer.service@dcwater.com or online.
- Tenants: Property managers can modify tenant information (i.e. name, address, phone number).
- Multiple Properties: Register each account online to manage multiple properties effortlessly.
- Tenants:
- Access: Following the property owner's approval, tenants are added to the account.
- Flexibility: Create a profile and manage the account online.
- Billing: Need a bill in your name? Once added to the account, a copy of the bill will be sent in your name by registering and enrolling in paperless billing online at MYDCWater.com.
