District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (“DC Water”) provides data available in map and list form on this website as a service to the public. The data provided by DC Water is based on historical data, information directly provided by DC Water, information directly provided by DC Water contractors and in some cases, information acquired during physical inspections. DC Water does not guarantee the accuracy of this data and assumes no liability for any errors. The data shall be used for the sole purpose of providing the public with service line material information and not for any commercial, legal or other use. DC Water assumes no liability for any decisions made or action taken or not taken by anyone using data provided from this website.

DC Water updates this data displayed on the map and in the list file daily from our service line material inventory, however, construction records can be submitted several weeks to months after the service line installation.  If you identify data that are incorrect, please email leadtest@dcwater.com. The address list contains active water accounts only, so a few homes may not be included if under development or have otherwise not activated their water service account.

Residents and DC Water customers, please see the map at https://geo.dcwater.com/Lead/ to search for the pipe material information for your home as this it provides more information about the source of pipe material information.

Fire Service Lines: This is the inventory of the fire service lines with pipe material information. Please note that many addresses were estimated with GIS analysis and might be incorrect. Download Fire Service Data in CSV format here.

If you have questions about the data, please email lead@dcwater.com.
