High Usage Alerts

Sign Up for High Water Usage Alerts!

We're thrilled to introduce our High Water Usage Alerts (HUNA), designed to keep you informed about your water usage. If your water usage is higher than normal, HUNA will notify you right away! Whether it's a broken pipe, a leaking toilet, or any other issue, these alerts can be your first clue to potential problems, helping you avoid high water bills.

How to Sign Up:

Signing up is easy! If you already have an online account, you're automatically enrolled for email alerts. If you don't have an online account, sign up at My DC Water today!

Choose Your Notification Preference:

You can select your preferred notification option by visiting your online account and selecting "water usage history." Then, choose "AMR history" and set your high usage notification preference. If you have any questions, please call us at 202-354-3600.

Why Sign Up?

Our high water alert service is linked to a powerful tool that tracks your water usage daily, monthly, and yearly. We'll notify you when your water usage is significantly higher for four consecutive days. This could be due to a leaking toilet, an unattended hose, or an internal plumbing problem6. Higher water use can also be caused by ordinary life events, such as having more people in your home, doing more laundry, or starting a landscaping project.
