Jonathan Butler
Jonathan R. Butler is an impactful leader and executive with over 20 years of experience with commercial, Federal, and state & local organizations.
He currently serves as Director for the Prince George’s County Office of Central Services, a large County government agency responsible for delivering mission critical services in the areas of facilities operation and management; contracting and procurement; fleet management; real estate/land acquisition; construction; general services; sustainable energy; and small, local and minority business development.
Prior, he was Chief Business Officer for District of Columbia Public Library which operates the public library system of the Nation’s Capital. Mr. Butler also served as Director of Contracts for both Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the nation’s capital and the District of Columbia Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning & Economic Development.
He held leadership roles in the private sector as a Vice President with Global Commerce Solutions, Inc and as Principal Contracts Manager for the Lockheed Martin Corporation.
He has held the post as Chairman of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government's Chief Purchasing Officers Committee overseeing cooperative and collaborative procurement initiatives for over 20 jurisdictions within the National Capital Region. Additionally, he has served as Committee and Subcommittee Chairman for such events and organizations as The Washington Metropolitan Regional Procurement Conference and The National Capital Minority Business Opportunity Committee. Mr. Butler currently serves as President for the Maryland Chapter of NFBPA and as a Board member for the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council.
Mr. Butler earned an Executive Certificate from Cornell University, MBA from the James Madison University and a BS from Virginia State University.
