Liliana Maldonado

Director, Engineering & Technical Services

Liliana Maldonado will manage the Department of Engineering & Technical Services and will be the principal adviser to department managers and supervisors for sanitary engineering systems, facility planning, design and construction. She will also provide engineering design of facilities required by the Authority including civil, electrical and mechanical engineering.

Ms. Maldonado will determine program goals and direct the operational review of design, development and implementation for plans and specifications covering plant expansion and modernization. She will serve as a subject matter expert in engineering and technical services. Additionally, Ms. Maldonado will be responsible for the management and administration of all Authority construction and major repair activities.

Ms. Maldonado joins the Authority from CH2M Hill, where her most recent role was global program management director. There, she was the primary point of contact in the water market for developing and delivering high-performing program management services for clients around the world.

Ms. Maldonado has nearly 35 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering. She has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and is the author of numerous publications. Ms. Maldonado is a licensed professional engineer in Virginia and Puerto Rico and is a board certified environmental engineer.
