Lead Free DC Newsletter

Lead Free DC was launched to replace all the lead service lines in the District of Columbia with copper pipe. It is an ambitious effort that will help us to ensure the quality and safety of drinking water in the District.

This newsletter provides an update on our progress toward replacing all lead service lines in the District. It also includes tips to help you determine if you have a lead service line and explains how we will work with you to replace them.

We want to give you every opportunity to learn about the work we are doing to keep your water clean and how you can stay involved in the process. Let's work together to get the lead out!
