Water Meter Break at West End Hotel

September 25, 2004

A water meter replaced early Saturday morning at the Fairmont Hotel in the 2400 block of M. St. N.W. broke around 7 a.m. resulting in a water spillage.

Two DC WASA crews and the contractor crew that replaced the meter have been dispatched. Water to the hotel has been shut down and repairs are underway. Service restoration is expected to take no more than four hours.

The water shut off affects only the hotel. Residents and other businesses in the West End area can expect normal water service.
