DC Water Expands Virtual Meeting Presence for Public

March 31, 2020

DC Water board and committee meetings will now all be accessible to the public as the authority takes steps to limit gatherings but still conduct all business in public.

Today’s announcement means audio and occasionally visual components of the board meetings, along with agendas and all documents discussed by members, will be available at this link:   https://www.dcwater.com/board-calendar

Chief Executive Officer and General Manager David L. Gadis says all authority staff and Board members will participate remotely to minimize health risks yet still ensure that all authority business is transparent.

“This is an unprecedented time but it matters to me that the authority conduct all of its work in the sunshine,” Mr. Gadis said. “I credit our Board Secretary and Board Chairman for working to have an uninterrupted meeting schedule so that DC Water can still serve our customers but also take care of official business during a time when the majority of the city is sheltering in place.”
